Hello fam!!!

It’s been ages! Let me start off by saying Happy New Year! I am probably the last person to wish you happy New Year since we are almost through with the first quarter (My, 2022 is really running fast!). I get excited when I think about what God will do and what He has started to do. This year will definitely be a good one because our God is king!

I decided to take a break, and rejuvenate for the journey ahead. By God’s grace I am back, poised to do this thing to the glory of God. I hope to be as consistent as possible, and would totally appreciate your feedback. I’d also like to thank you for sticking around, commenting, liking, and most importantly sharing. You are real partners in sharing the word. I pray God rewards you. I am sincerely looking forward to reducing the length of most of the articles so we can read them more conveniently. God be my helper.

Sometime this week, I remembered my very early days in school. Prior to studying my course, I had met some people who told me that in medical and dental school, you didn’t need a first class, because everyone graduates with a pass. So I was frequently advised to just try my best to pass. All I needed was a pass mark of 50 and I would be good to go. After all, on my certificate, they won’t put 1st class or 2nd upper. So this became my drive; to just pass. Every time the results were released, I would thank God profusely because I had just passed. There were one or 2 times that I barely made it, and I thanked God profusely for those instances.

It was in one of these profuse thanksgiving sessions that a friend said something that roused me from my sleep in a boat on stormy seas. She said, “I don’t think just hitting the pass mark gives glory to God. Why can’t God make us excel?” And this struck me hard. Certainly the one who says God helped me get 90% gives more glory to God than the one who said God helped me get 50%. Till date, I mention to her that it changed my life when she said that.

Family, the truth is that God wants us to excel on all sides. He doesn’t want us to just get by, or to do the barest minimum. No one lights a candle and places it under a bushel. Rather, he places it on a table that it may give light to the whole house. Let your light shine that all may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. This scripture must translate into a mentality! We must push to be the very best we can be as God helps us.

So from Anadwoadwendwen to you. This year, seek to be the very best you can be at everything you do. And in doing so, let us give glory to God.
