When I first started Anadwoadwendwen, I just wanted to create clean humor. Nothing really Christian or spiritual. I like content with humor, and yet, a lot of the content out there is just lewd and filthy. So I was just putting up short funny stuff on Facebook. I was in dental school then, so the only time I got to be active on social media was in the night. And since they were just random thoughts I was having on my bed, I used Anadwoadwendwen as a hashtag.

One day, my mum told me to ensure I use whatever platform I have to glorify God and to spread the word. I did not like the sound of that. I just wanted to have fun. But deep down in my heart, I knew she was right. We need to come to a point where we are fully surrendered to God, and everything we do is of him and for him. So I gave in and started spreading the word through this medium. I decided I wasn’t going to lose the humor element though because everyone loves a good laugh.

It has been through phases. There have been times where I’ve been bogged down that I just had to put things on hold. I tried vlogging too, but logistical challenges brought that venture to a grinding halt.

Somewhere last year, God laid it on my heart to take this further by creating a website for it. So I spoke to some people and got that running. And by God’s grace we are still pressing on.

All this is very interesting. Sincerely, I do not know what the end game is. I do not have a grand vision, a plan or some agenda. Absolutely nothing. Many times I wonder what all this is about.  I have really wanted to change the name from Anadwoadwendwen to something else, but I got nothing from the Lord yet.

But I do realize that someway somehow, people do get blessed. Once a while, someone enters my inbox and shares how an article or a word blessed him or her. That gives me a sense of fulfilment, you know. I think to myself, “At least someone is being blessed”.

So why am I saying all this? First, I want to give God all the glory for this privilege. I do not know what he’s doing with this, but it is such a privilege to do even the smallest thing for him. And I’m grateful for all of this, though it doesn’t look like much. I’m grateful that I get to serve the King. Secondly, this is to you, my dear reader. You are the reason why we do this. I pray for you week after week, that as you read these words, you will be fed, and that you will encounter the Lord Himself in a spectacular way.

When I started this article, I thought this was only going to be an appreciation post. But even in this, there is a message. Sometimes we get to certain points where we just cannot see the grand picture. It’s not like we are aimless or lazy. We are doing our best, but we just don’t know where the road we’re on leads eventually. You need to experience this to understand it. I think God places us in these seasons on purpose. After all, scripture says no eye has seen, no ear heard and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. That includes your eyes, ears and mind my dear. In Job 23, Job said that he could not see God nor his working when he looked North, South, East and West. But he quickly added that God knew exactly where he was. We can be confident in the truth that God knows where we are, and that God has a plan. God has a plan…God has the plan. I think that is all that matters.

In the meantime, let us live for him every day of our lives. Let us be totally dedicated to His cause and His kingdom. It is a privilege to live for God, serving him. Let us do this with all the might and graces he bestows on us.
