I just found out something very interesting. I know there has been an age long debate about whether the tissue paper in the washroom must be hung over or under. But I found out that the way an individual places his tissue paper tells a lot about a person’s personality! Stay tuned.
I found out that people who hang their toilet paper are go getters. They take decisions quickly and hardly regret. They may struggle with impatience and anger issues and are strong willed. They do well in positions of management and make successful head of corporations. Many of these individuals who find themselves in the military, have been found to rise quickly through the ranks. Joan of Arc was known to hang her toilet paper over.
On the other hand, an individual who hangs their toilet paper under, is likely to be a thinker. They are perfectionists and can be very slow in taking decisions. You really don’t want to be in a meeting when they are chairing. Their sense of perfection makes them excel in the arts such as music and painting. Beethoven and Picasso were known to hang their toilet paper under.
Okay, let me confess. I totally made this up 😂. But how many believed this for a second? I can bet some of us actually run to the washroom to check if we fit into the category before reading. I’m worried someone didn’t read this far and would think they have learnt something new. God please forgive me.
But personality tests are really a thing. Tozer admitted he found them very fascinating. And of course, they must be, because humans enjoy discovering things about themselves; potential, strengths and weaknesses.
Well, here is something that isn’t made up. Paul said, “It is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me”. Family, the Christian has one true identity, and it is Christ. For us, the most accurate personality test is the Word, where we find our true selves in the person of Jesus Christ.
Today, people have gone extreme lengths to know themselves better. To the point that, in this age of science, people believe the month they were born in determines their personality type. Family, as long as you’re in Christ, the clearest mirror there is of you, is the Word of God. There you can see your true reflection in Jesus Christ. And as you behold this reflection, you become more and more like him.
PS. Actually, the correct way to hang tissue paper in the washroom is over. Apparently, there is a patent for the toilet roll, from 1891 which prescribes it as such. Sigh. Can we just go to the loo in peace?
